GIFTED & TALENTED
Healing School has hosted a conference to discuss its most gifted pupils.
Consultants from Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford and Hull visited the school to see what it offered its students.
Kerry Whitham, a gifted and talented consultant for North East Lincolnshire, said “Schools identify their most talented and gifted pupils by a range of different means. Exam and test results are taken into consideration as well as out-of-school activities such as swimming and football.”
Year 10 pupil Beth Edlington said the school offers a variety of extra-curricular activities to encourage students to reach their personal best.
“The school helps to encourage high expectations and ambitions,” she said.
