Gardening Club
Thanks to the support of families and friends of Healing School, we have collected around 1700 ‘Let’s Grow’ vouchers to buy a range of items to set up our ‘Gardening Club’.
We have already been promised a greenhouse which will be the centre of our activities (based in the area outside Learning Support), and are now looking to supplement our resources. Do you have any surplus gardening equipment – trowels, plant pots, seeds, seed trays etc. that we can use in our greenhouse? If so, we are waiting to hear from you! Any items can be sent in with your child and taken to Learning Support, or handed in at reception.
The Learning Support Department is also looking for volunteers to help with the Gardening Club. We would welcome any volunteers who can spare about an hour a week during lunchtimes in the Spring term, to come in and work alongside the students. Gardening ‘know-how’ an advantage but not essential!
